Currently we have been in the practice room
working on some new songs for our tour in Mid December. Things
became chaotic one we started to record the full length album. So we will
have some remixed songs on another demo CD for tour. That will be
available as soon as we finish. If you have a friend that wants a Backhand CD

NEW BACKHAND BASSIST!
This one is fresh from the rumor hill, but closer to the truth than you'd believe.
With Ron's recent departure to Connecticut, abandoning the short-lived, but
much loved Resin, and his faithful claim-to-fame BACKHAND, our boys have been forced
to search for a replacement for the time being. Justin, BACKHAND front man, was
overheard with plans of recruiting JOSH GARIC, Ron's younger brother, to be the new bassist
for the band.
"Fuck Ron. Ron ain't shit," says Josh, eager to get his rock star feet wet as BACKHAND's
new bassist.
Confirmation of Josh's signing with the band should come in the next few days.
We'll keep you posted.
IN OTHER NEWS...
RESIN return?
While the band barely caught the light of day, Resin has garnered a bit of a
cult following in the underground scene category of bands we miss the most
next to 80s sensations A-Ha ("Take On Me"). As far as a Resin reunion, don't
expect one soon, according to former front man, Matt. He'll focus on his film career
and leave Resin in the dust. Matt departs for New York in August, leaving the possibility
of a "secret" July show (we're crossing our fingers) to be about as realistic as The Lion King.

Ron has officially disbanded his acoustic cover band
side project, known as Resin, due to "personal differences"
(eg. wants to spend more time with his girlfriend in Connecticut)
Needless to say, the July 1st show at Howlin' Wolf will go on without them.
No word yet as to what dates Paul's solo project will be playing at the Wolf, but please
check Paul out...he rocks the shit. Best of luck to Paul, Ron, and Matt (former Resin front man)
in their separate paths...
When reaching Matt for comment, he said only: "I hate Ron. He ruined everything." End quote.
NO word on how Ron's hiatus will affect the band we love most, BACKHAND...time will tell.

12/6 -The Ep for the upcoming tour is out.
It features Backhands hit song Masturbate.
12/15- Hey we just got back from playing a show in Mobile. It was
pretty cool they throw shows in their houses and are very unified.
We wanna thank everyone over there for listening and being
really kind to us.
6/1/2002- What the fuck is up?? Ron's side project, an acoustic cover band called Resin,
will be performing near open mic's near you in the coming weeks so check
them out. They fucking kick ass.
